Since I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease I “met” lots of nutritionists and health coaches/experts. And with them came all the pseudo science about what and how we should or should not eat. Here is a list with my favourite urban legends, pseudo science “facts” and fads. Continue reading “2k17 – the year of everyone turning into a “nutritionist” and going on various diets being a must.”
I’ve been asked a few times why I think feminism is still a “thing”. I don’t think it is or it ever was. That would suggest being a feminist and the feminist movement are just a fad. They are in fact a matter of life and death for some women and a matter of daily humiliation and being treated unfairly. Continue reading “A short rambling about feminism…”
You loved me when I couldn’t love myself. You believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself and no one else did and you saw my future when I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. We broke each other’s hearts more than once but we also know how to make the other one smile. You know how to bring the purring pussycat out of me. You know how to make me laugh. You saw something in me I didn’t see in myself. I was never worthy of your love, of your affection, of your time. But you gave those things without asking for anything in return. You loved me unconditionally. You believed in me. You made me grow up, you made me fight. You made me reach my goals. Despite everything we’ve been through we can still laugh, we can still kiss and we can still make each other happy. We still know each other. We are still together and we are still by each other’s side. This is love. Unconditional, indestructible love. Thank you, for everything. For the times where you were there to wipe my tears off, for the endless hours we spent in each other’s arms and for the amazing places you showed me. You are the one and only. The man that’s worth the fight and effort. And the person who made me realise it’s always worth to put up a fight.
Donald Trump is the 45th president of the Unites States. He caused a lot of controversy from the moment he announced his plans to run for the presidency. Now that he’s sworn in he is causing some havoc and also international outrage. His first 10 days in office were certainly quite eventful. Continue reading “How Trump makes America great again”
I wrote this just before Christmas but I think it’s still relevant and it will stay relevant for a while.
Since things took a turn for the worse in Syria and mass migration started people kept saying that refugees should stay and fight for their countries. When pictures of young, able bodied men swarmed the internet there was a massive outcry, people questioning why those young men aren’t staying behind to fight for their country. My only question is: would you? After you’ve lived through months of atrocities, lived in terror, feared for your own and your loved ones lives. Lost friends and family. Continue reading “Aleppo and the Christmas spirit…”
Photography is more than art for me, it’s a way of self expression. A way of capturing my life in snapshots – they are not necessarily hastily taken pictures, with no story behind them but they are not the typical very well thought through professional photos either. Continue reading “Perspective”
A few days ago I read an article about those in a World full of Kardashians memes and what is wrong with them. I agree with most points but I felt like those points don’t defend the Kardashians, on the contrary, they just underline what is wrong with the World being full of Kardashians.
